Who is Art & Craft?
Art & Craft founder Ariel Lewiton brings two decades of experience to her work at the intersection of literary arts, publishing, and cultural programming.
Ariel began her career as an in-house editor, first at McGraw-Hill Education and then in the Beijing newsroom of China Daily/21st Century, where she was also a culture reporter. She earned an MFA from the University of Iowa’s Nonfiction Writing Program, where she curated a monthly multidisciplinary reading and performance series, Anthology, and helped to produce and promote Iowa City’s Mission Creek Festival, an annual celebration of music and literature. In addition to ongoing work as an independent developmental editor, Ariel has served as Marketing and Publicity Director at Sarabande Books and Vice President at The Tuesday Agency.
She launched Art & Craft in 2025.
